Such sad news...
Army Sgt. Alex Jimenez, of Lawrence, Mass., & Pvt. Byron W. Fouty, of Waterford, Mich., had been identified in Iraq..... That is the news I woke up to yesterday on FOX NEWS. Those stories ALWAYS make me sad, but yesterday even more so because yesterday our son flew into Iraq to begin his 15 month deployment.. Deployments arent new to me and my family, my husband of almost 20 years is also an active duty soldier and has had his share of deployments, but this time its our son and it has a different affect on my husband and myself. I always worry when my husband goes into war, but he is a seasoned soldier and I know he will always put up a fight, but our sweet baby boy is a kid (well not really, but always a kid to us) and I hate that he is in harms way and that I can do nothing but write him letters, answer the phone when he calls and say prayers. I by no way am upset he joined the Army, infact I am very proud of him doing that. I feel so much for the parents of these 2 brave warriors. Peace be with you Sgt Jimenez and Pvt Fouty...

8th PCS
YIKES!! This is our 8th PCS in 19 years, not too bad really. I have known people that have pcs'd more, but still 8 is not chopped liver. We will miss the people we have met here, but I will honestly say that small town isnt my idea of fun and I cant wait to run from the hills, LOL!!
Ill tell you about myself and crazy life. My sweety pie and I have been married 19 years and are highschool sweethearts. We have 4 sons and 2 daughters. This year our son and daughter both had weddings, so it was a crazy year. Our son and his wife also had their first baby and our 1st grandchild, his name is Giovanni and he is beautiful. Our son is in Iraq right now for 14.5 more months, sucky, I know. Our son-in-law deploys again this winter as does my husband. We have 4 kids living at home, ages 16, 15, 3, 2... (dont ask, we thought we were done after the 1st 4, but as you can see we were not) Cassidy and Anthony are the oldest that live at home and Dominic and Roman are the babies. We are on our way to Texas very shortly and are looking forward to it, but of course it comes with some anxiety such as housing, schools, etc.. But we are strong, Army Strong and will survive it as we always have. This is a busy PCS season for the military, so keep all the families and soldiers in your thoughts as they embarq on a new journey.
